Pragmatic and Ethnographic Translation
According to Brislin in Choliludin (2007: 26-30)
Menurut Brislin pada Choliludin (2007: 26-30)
Pragmatic translation: it refers
to the translation of a message with an interest in accuracy of the information
that was meant to be conveyed in the SL form and it is not conveyed with other
aspects of the original language version.
Penerjemahan pragmatik:
penerjemahan ini merupakan proses menerjemahkan suatu pesan dengan memperhatikan ketepatan informasi yang disampaikan oleh
bahasa sumber, bukan aspek-aspek kebahasaan lainnya pada versi bahasa asli sumber.
Example:
In my analysis this translation product is translated accurately and naturally. But there is a strange word that the translator choose and it makes the sentence sounds not naturally. Sentence in the third picture that is underlined by red line
Even when using a sunscreen containing product
Walaupun memakai sediaan dengan tabir surya
The word "sediaan" that stands as "product" sounds strange in Indonesian.

Berdasarkan tujuannya, penerjemahan dibagi menjadi:
1) Pragmatic translation: it refers
to the translation of a message with an interest in accuracy of the information
that was meant to be conveyed in the SL form and it is not conveyed with other
aspects of the original language version. Example: the translation of the
information about repairing a machine.

bahasa sumber, bukan aspek-aspek kebahasaan lainnya pada versi bahasa asli sumber. Contoh:
terjemahan informasi tentang cara memperbaiki
sebuah mesin.
